Shelley Long has been a Hollywood mainstay for nearly 40 years. She made her debut in 1977 as the narrator of ‘The Key,’ and took on small one-off roles throughout the end of the 70s and the beginning of the 1980s. She got her breakout role in 1982 when she was cast in the show Cheers, which was one of the most beloved and well-watched shows in sitcom history. Shelley left the show in 1987, but she continued working, taking various roles throughout the 90s and 2000s.
Some of her biggest roles including playing Carol Brady in The Brady Bunch movie and A Very Brady Sequel. She returned to the sitcom world in 2009 with a guest appearance on Modern Family, where she played DeDe Pritchett in 8 episodes of the series. Shelley’s most recent acting role was in the 2021 mystery drama The Cleaner.
