The life of the legendary Selena Quintanilla is being told in the all-new show, ‘Selena: The Series,’ on Netflix. Christian Serratos, best known for playing Rosita on ‘The Walking Dead,’ stars as Selena, who became the Queen of Tejano Music. The series starts out in Selena’s childhood years and follows her rise in the music industry. Selena was tragically murdered in 1995 by fan club president Yolanda Saldivar. She was just 23 years old. The Netflix series will be a two-part series, with the first part being released on Dec. 4. The series also stars Ricardo Chavira as Abraham Quintanilla, Seidy López as Marcella Quintanilla, Gabriel Chavarria as A.B. Quintanilla, Noemi Gonzalez as Suzette Quintanilla, Julio Macias as Pete Astudillo, Jesse Posey as Chris Perez, and Hunter Reese Peña as Ricky Vela. Even though Selena is gone, her legacy lives on.
