Selena Gomez: A History Of Her Dating Life — Selena Gomez has been linked to many A-list stars over her illustrious career that go outside the high-profile ones like Justin Bieber and The Weeknd.

Other men that the ‘Come & Get It’ songstress has apparently been romantic with include hunky actor Orlando Bloom, international DJ Zedd, former One Direction singer Niall Horan and ‘Twilight’ hottie Taylor Lautner.

She is, however, most known for her time with Justin and The Weeknd as those are the two that she walked many red carpets with and discussed in several interviews over the years. Her previous relationship with the ‘Sorry’ singer began in 2010 and finally ended in 2018 after many makeup to breakup kinds of situations between them. She reportedly dated the Canadian crooner for 10 months before they split in October 2017.

Selena Gomez & Zen Matoshi — In 2022, Selena Gomez was photographed heading to Dua Lipa’s concert with Zen Matoshi, and rumors began swirling that they were an item. However, it was soon revealed that the two were not romantically involved.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber — Selena’s most known relationship was with Justin Bieber! This romance saga goes back to 2010, when the singers created buzz with their infamous hangout at an IHOP. However, the relationship wasn’t made official until their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscars Party. They enjoyed a very public romance from there on out, showing off PDA at events like the 2011 Billboard Music Awards and 2011 American Music Awards.

However, it was reported by Nov. 2012 that Selena and Justin split, and Selena even confirmed that she was single on The Late Late Show with David Letterman in March 2013. However, the couple was back together by Sept. 2014, but not for long. In November of that year, Selena released a hearbreaking ballad about their on-again, off-again relationship called “The Heart Wants What It Wants.”

Selena went on to enjoy relationships with Zedd and The Weeknd (more on that below), but went back to hanging out with Justin between late 2017-early 2018. Selena even wished her ex a public happy birthday in March of 2018! However, things took a sudden turn when Justin began dating his friend, model Hailey Baldwin, in the summer of 2018. They were married by September of that year, thus ending Selena and Justin’s love story.

Selena Gomez and Taylor Lautner — Before there was Bieber there was Taylor Lautner! The actors crossed paths in Vancouver in 2009, where Selena was filming Ramona and Beezus and Taylor was filming Twilight: New Moon.

‘Kristen [Stewart] was staying in my hotel,” Selena explained in a 2009 interview with Seventeen. “He would visit her, so we were constantly running into each other in the lobby—and we ended up meeting. We would go out to lunch and dinner, but I knew he had paparazzi following him and I had paparazzi following me. So we literally just wanted to hang out, go bowling and stuff, and it went a little too far, I think. People were getting a little crazy about us.”

Although Selena gushed that Taylor had made her “so happy” at the time, the Disney Channel alum also confirmed that she was “100 percent single” during the interview.

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd — Selena Gomez and The Weeknd set the Internet ablaze with paparazzi photos of their makeout session in Santa Monica in Jan. 2017. At the time, The Weeknd had just broken up with Bella Hadid — who unfollowed Selena on Instagram after the PDA pictures surfaced!

The Weeknd shared his first photo of Selena on his Instagram page in March of 2017, and enjoyed a romantic weekend at Coachella in April of that year. They even attended the Met Gala as a couple in May! However, it was reported by Oct. 2017 that they had split and Selena began hanging out with her ex, Justin Bieber, again. Many outlets reported that The Weeknd’s 2018 album My Dear Melancholy referenced his relationship with Selena.

Selena Gomez and Niall Horan — Selena Gomez and Niall Horan reportedly made out at Jenna Dewan’s 35th birthday party in 2015, according to a Us Weekly report. However, Selena shut down dating speculation at Billboard’s Women in Music event later that year.

However, the dating rumors resurfaced in 2019, when an Instagram photo was shared showing Niall with his arm around Selena (they were with a group of friends). Regardless, Niall clarified that they’re just friends later that year, a claim that he doubled down on during an appearance on KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show in Feb. 2020. “This petition I feel like has been going on for I think eight years. Myself and Selena are really good friends with the same group of mates,” Niall said on the Australian radio show.

Selena Gomez and Orlando Bloom

Selena Gomez and Orlando Bloom — Outlets reported that Selena Gomez and Orlando Bloom reportedly hooked up in April 2014. Both, however, have denied those rumors. The same speculation arose in May of 2016, when Selena was photographed seemingly getting cozy with The Pirates of the Caribbean star at an after-party for her concert at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Two days after the photos surfaced, Katy Perry — Orlando’s girlfriend whom he’s now engaged to — tweeted to not give “energy” and “eyeballs” to a “dumb conspiracy” and instead directed attention to Orlando’s essay in Time magazine. Selena retweeted Katy’s message!

Selena Gomez and Samuel Crost — In Nov. 2015, Selena Gomez was photographed holding hands and having dinner with Samuel Krost at Cipriani’s in NYC. Krost was a friend of Gigi Hadid’s and a graduate of NYU. They were spotted even more times together later during the end of 2015. However, Selena did not confirm the relationship, and even said she was single on the red carpet for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Nov. 2015.

On the contrary, Samuel seemed confirmed their brief relationship in a post which he later deleted on Instagram in 2016, calling her a “real girl with a real heart and real feelings.”

Selena and Zedd — Fans speculated that these two were an item when Zedd posted a picture of Selena Gomez in bed in Feb. 2015. During that same month, Zedd revealed that he met the famous pop star while popping into the music studio he worked at to use the bathroom. The head of Zedd’s label happened to be there, along with Selena — so, an introduction was made!

The relationship was short-lived, and Zedd recalled the experience during his interview with Billboard in 2017. “Reporters were calling my parents. People were hacking my friends’ phones. I was pissed. [Though] I kind of knew what I was getting myself into…She is one of the most talked about people in the world, but I had no idea how much that would change my life,” the EDM artist told the outlet.
