The ‘Scream’ franchise is getting a revamp. The first official photos of ‘Scream 5’ give a glimpse at the new characters.

‘Scream’ — Photos Of The OGs & New Characters In The Fifth Film — Ghostface is back. ‘Scream’ will return for a fifth installment on January 14, 2022. Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past. The core trio is back: Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott, Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers, and David Arquette as Dewey Riley. They’ll be joined by new cast members that include Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Sonia Ammar. Marley Shelton also reprises her role from ‘Scream 4.’

‘Scream’ is set to be a ‘relaunch’ of the hit horror franchise that started in 1996. The last ‘Scream’ movie was ‘Scream 4’ in 2011, which saw Sidney’s cousin become the killer.
