Robert Hepler Lowe, born March 17, 1964, is an American actor, producer and director from Charlottesville, Virginia. He made his acting debut at age 15 on ABC’s sitcom, ‘A New Kind of Family’ in its short-lived run from 1979-1980. Rob became a teen sensation when he starred in popular films including, ‘The Outsiders’ (1983), ‘Class’ (1983), ‘The Hotel New Hampshire’ (1984), ‘Oxford Blues’ (1984) ‘About Last Night’ (1986) and many more. He is also known for his TV role as Sam Seaborn on the NBC political drama, ‘The West Wing’v (1999-2003). He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Rob’s won two Screen Actors Guild Awards and he’s been nominated for six Golden Globe Awards and a Primetime Emmy Award. Rob married Sheryl Berkoff in 1991 after meeting on a blind date in the ’80s, and then again on the set of his movie, ‘Bad Influence’. Sheryl was his makeup artist on set. They share two songs together Edward Matthew and John Owen Lowe.
