Photos Of The Cast Of ‘Prodigal Son’ — ‘Prodigal Son’ is a Fox crime drama series that follows Malcolm Bright, a criminal psychologist who is very good at his job. Why? Because murder is the family business. His father, Martin Whitly, is a famous serial killer known as The Surgeon. Martin killed at least 23 people before he was put behind bars. Malcolm is trying to use his twisted genius to help the NYPD solve crimes and stop killings while dealing with his homicidal father who is still looking to bond with him. Malcolm’s mother, Jessica, is an elegant and WASPy New Yorker who has an opinion about every aspect of Malcolm’s life. His only ally seems to be his sister, Ainsley. The series stars Tom Payne as Malcolm Bright, Michael Sheen as Dr. Martin Whitly, Bellamy Young as Jessica Whitly, Lou Diamond Phillips as Gil Arroyo, Halston Sage as Ainsley Whitly, Aurora Perrineau as Dani, Frank Harts as JT Tarmel, and Keiko Agena as Edrisa.

After two seasons, Fox cancelled the series. While HBO Max reportedly passed on picking it up, series creators Chris Fedak and Sam Sklaver remain hopeful that another network or streamer will decide to bring it back for a third season.
