Pat Sajak: Photos of the ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Host in Honor of His Birthday

Pat Sajak has been the host of ‘Wheel of Fortune’ for 41 seasons, as of 2023. See some of his photos here in honor of his birthday.

Pat Sajak is the face of Wheel Of Fortune. The weatherman-turned-iconic television host has been hosting the game show since 1983 alongside his longtime co-host, Vanna White! Pat retired as host of the show in 2023. You can also see (or hear) Pat in Airplane II: The Sequel as Buffalo Anchorman, a 1994 episode of Rugrats, The King of Queens, and Fresh Off the Boat.

Before Pat found fame on Wheel Of Fortune, he held a number of odd jobs: an early morning newsman on a local Chicago radio station, a disc jockey for Armed Forces Radio, a DJ for Kentucky and Tennessee radio stations, until he eventually spent five years as a weatherman and talk show host for KNBC-TV in LA. In 1981, Wheel Of Fortune creator sought out Pat to host the game show, and the rest is history. He hosted both the daytime and syndicated evening shows of Wheel Of Fortune between 1983-1989, and then just the evening show from there on out (the daytime show was canceled in 1991).

Pat was married to Sherrill Sajak between 1979-1986, and has been married to photographer Lesly Brown since 1989. They share two kids: Maggie and Patrick.
