‘Gossip Girl’s New Series — Photos — ‘Gossip Girl’ is getting a 2020 update. The beloved series, which ran from 2007 to 2012, is getting an update. A reimagining of the drama focusing on a group of Upper East Side teens is set to premiere on HBO Max in 2021. Filming is underway now in New York City and giving us major throwback vibes. The new cast includes Evan Mock, Eli Brown, Zión Moreno, Jordan Alexander, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Savannah Smith, Thomas Doherty, and Whitney Peak. The new series will focus on a group of New York private school teens being introduced to social surveillance 8 years after the original blogger’s website went dark. Kristen Bell is set to return as the narrator of the series. Original stars Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, and Penn Badgley are not a part of this new series (yet).
