Since she burst onto the scene as the sarcastic, romantic, celebrity-obsessed Kelly Kapoor on NBC’s The Office in 2005, Mindy Kaling has brought her bubbly brand of comedy to multiple shows and films.
Since writing and starring in her own show The Mindy Project, Kaling has also produced the Netflix hit show Never Have I Ever, following a young Indian-American girl reminiscent of a young Mindy (as described by the writer in her two memoirs.)
On top of her acting career, Mindy has also pursued (and mastered) the role of a mom. Mindy welcomed daughter Katherine Swati in 2017, son Spencer Avu in 2020 and daugther Anne in 2024. Mindy has not revealed the identity of the children’s father publicly.
