Singer Michael Bolton is a true romantic. Born Michael Bolotin in New Haven, Connecticut on Feb. 26, 1953, he is the man behind hits like How Am I Supposed To Live Without You? and Said I Loved You But I Lied.

Though he is well known for his ballads, he actually started making music as a heavy metal rocker in the 70s and 80s. As a solo artist, he was known for his textured croon and passionate lyrics. It seemed a recipe for success, as Michael’s sold more than 75 million records and won two Grammys.

Michael has also dabbled in acting and TV, making cameos as himself on Two and a Half Men and The Nanny, while also appearing on unscripted shows like Dancing With The Stars and Celebrity Dating Game.

In his personal life, the star was married to Maureen McGuire from 1975 to 1990. The pair share three daughters. He also enjoyed an on-off relationship with actress Nicolette Sheridan during the 90s and 2000s.
