In 1999, Kirsten began her long collaboration with Oscar-winning director Sofia Coppola by appearing in Sofia’s first film, The Virgin Suicides. The independent film was lauded by critics, and Kirsten went on to collaborate with Sofia on projects like Marie Antoinette and The Beguiled.
Kirsten is also widely known among comic book fans for her portrayal of Mary Jane Watson in the early 2000s Spider-Man trilogy. The actress has also established a fine balance of work in film and TV, appearing in the FX series Fargo.
