The actress’ first major role was as the title character in the 2006 hit ‘Akeelah and the Bee’. That same year, she co-starred in ‘Madea’s Family Reunion’, and the rest was history. She won the lead role in the Nickelodeon series ‘True Jackson VP’ in 2008, and released a number of albums, too. As an adult, she hosted ‘Just Keke’ on BET, and gained acclaim for her roles in ‘Scream Queens’, ‘Masters of Sex’, and ‘Grease: Live’.
