Katey Sagal has been the gal in charge since she first made it big with Married… With Children in the late 80s. The actress, born Jan. 19, 1954, was born into show business, as the daughter of a singer and TV director, who could boast television legend, Norman Lear, as her godfather.
After starting off as a singer, she became an icon starring as glam housewife Peg Bundy on Married… With Children from 1987 to 1997. After that, Katey would voice leading alien lady Leela on Futurama for nearly 10 years during the show’s two stints on air. Never straying far from the role of mom, she played the matriarch again in 8 Simple Rules and was the tough Gemma in Sons Of Anarchy, a role which won her a Golden Globe in 2011.
