The pride of Scranton is actually…Boston Strong. John Krasinski is best known for portraying Jim Halpert in the American adaptation of The Office from 2005 to 2013. During his time on the beloved comedy, the Boston, Massachusetts native dipped his toe into producing a directing, hinting at where he would take his career after he left the show. In 2009, he directed ‘Brief Interviews with Hideo Men,’ and the comedy-drama ‘The Hollars.’ His major post-‘Office’ break can in 2018. During that year, John starred, cow-rote and directed ‘A Quiet Place,’ a critically and commercially successful horror film. Also, in 2018, he took on the titular role of Amazon’s ‘Jack Ryan’ series. His take on the character would earn him a SAG nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series.
Off-set, he’s found success in love. He began dating actress Emily Blunt in 2008. They were married in 2010, at an Italian home that once belonged to George Clooney. In 2014, they welcomed their first daughter, Hazel, and their second girl, Violet, was born in 2016.
