Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Justin Mikita dated for two years before they got engaged in 2012 during a romantic vacation to Mexico. The Modern Family actor and Justin, a lawyer, tied the knot the next year in July in an intimate ceremony in downtown New York City, officiated by playwright Tony Kushner. Jesse announced that he and Justin were expecting during an appearance on The Late Late Show in January 2020. Jesse and Justin welcomed their first child together — Beckett Mercer Ferguson-Mikita — on July 7, 2020. A representative for Jesse confirmed the birth to HollywoodLife at the time.
