Jeannie Mai and Jeezy began dating in 2019 after meeting on the set of her talk show ‘The Real’. Jeannie said of her first date with the rapper, meeting the award winning rapper: “We shared a romantic sushi dinner in Los Angeles and salsa danced the night away. Later that evening, he asked if I could picture spending the rest of my life with him. And crazy enough, I could.” The pair initially hoped to marry in Italy but due to the Covid-19 pandemic they had to change their plans. They tied the knot at home in Atlanta in March 2021. Less than a year later, their daughter Monaco was born.
In September 2023, Jeezy filed for divorce from Jeannie after two and a half years of marriage. He requested joint custody of the former couple’s daughter. Jeezy said that his marriage to Jeannie is “irretrievably broken” and there’s “no hope for reconciliation.”
