Hayden Panettiere, born August 21, 1989, is an American actress who first rose to fame as a child star. She began her career appearing in soap operas before breaking out in films like Remember the Titans and later becoming widely known for playing Claire Bennett on NBC’s Heroes. Over the years, she also starred in projects including Bring It On: All or Nothing, Ice Princess, Scream 4 and Scream VI. One of her most acclaimed roles came in ABC’s Nashville, where she starred opposite Connie Britton for six seasons from 2012 to 2018.
Hayden has also remained in the public eye for her personal life and relationships. She dated her Heroes co-star Milo Ventimiglia from 2007 to 2009 before later becoming engaged to Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko. The former couple welcomed their daughter, Kaya, in 2014 before ultimately splitting in 2018. She later briefly dated Brian Hickerson, whose legal troubles and assault arrest drew public attention during their relationship.
In recent years, Hayden has spoken more candidly about her personal experiences. In a 2022 interview, she opened up about her struggles with addiction and postpartum depression following the birth of her daughter. “I didn’t know where the alcoholism was ending and the postpartum was beginning, and I ran myself pretty ragged,” she said at the time. Hayden also faced personal tragedy in 2023 following the death of her younger brother, Jansen Panettiere.
In May 2026, while promoting her memoir This Is Me: A Reckoning, Hayden publicly revealed for the first time that she identifies as bisexual and reflected on why she waited years to speak openly about her sexuality.
