Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Hailee Steinfeld rose to fame with her breakout performance in 2010’s True Grit, earning an Academy Award nomination at just 14 years old. She continued to build an impressive résumé with roles in 2013’s Begin Again and Ender’s Game, before expanding into music with her scene-stealing turn in Pitch Perfect 2 and Pitch Perfect 3. Her success in the films helped launch her recording career, ultimately securing a record deal with Republic Records.
Hailee’s debut singles “Love Myself” and “Starving” became platinum-certified hits, paving the way for her 2015 EP Haiz. Since then, she’s balanced music with major acting roles across film and television, including Apple TV+’s Dickinson, the Marvel series Hawkeye, and the blockbuster Spider-Verse franchise, where she voices Gwen Stacy.
