Felicity Huffman is best known for her role in the ABC hit show, ‘Desperate Housewives’ in which she played the character Lynette Scavo. But the actress – who is married to ‘Shameless’ star William H. Macy – also has an Oscar nomination under her belt for her 2006 starring role in the movie ‘Transamerica.’ Felicity’s reputation was left in tatters, however, on March 12, 2019, when she was arrested for her role in the college admissions cheating scandal, which the Justice Department dubbed ‘Operation Varsity Blues.’ Felicity pled guilty on April 8, 2019, for her role in the scam, accepting full responsibility for the mail fraud charges she faced after the government accused her of paying $15,000 to guarantee that her eldest daughter, Sofia Grace, achieved a high SAT score. “I am ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues, and the educational community,” Felicity said in her statement.
