Denzel Washington — Denzel Washington was born Denzel Hayes Washington, Jr. in Mount Vernon, New York on December 28, 1954. He is is an award-winning actor, director and producer. The star is well known for taking on real-life figures such as Malcolm X and Rubin ‘Hurricane’ Carter, has been known to play daring attention-grabbing roles. He’s received two Academy Awards — one for ‘Glory’ and one for ‘Training Day’, and two Golden Globe Awards — one for ‘The Hurricane’ and one for ‘Glory.’ In 2019, the actor received the ultimate honor at the 2019 The American Film Institute gala where he was bestowed their Lifetime Achievement Award. He also has been married for 30 years to Pauletta Pearson, who he met in his first on-camera role. The couple is one of the longest lasting in Hollywood.
