Maren Morris — he 2022 CMT Music Awards took place on April 11, 2022 in Nashville. The red carpet was just getting underway when the stars were forced to evacuate for lightning in the area. After the stars were given the all clear, though, they made their way back to the red carpet to show off their stunning fashion looks.

The CMT Awards were hosted by Kelsea Ballerini, Anthony Mackie and Kane Brown. Kelsea actually hosted the show remotely from her home, as she found out just days before the show that she had tested positive for COVID-19. The show featured performances from some of the biggest stars in country music, including Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Kenny Chesney and many more. Additionally, the best music videos of the year were honored at the event.
