The Casey Anthony trial was a shocking real-life event for America to witness. Casey was a single mother living with her parents. In 2005, she had a daughter, Caylee that went missing in 2008. The girl’s grandmother, Cindy, hadn’t seen Caylee in about a month, and made the “missing child” call. Caylee’s mother, Casey, was a prime suspect for what happened to Caylee since her car had reportedly smelled like a dead body had been inside it. Frightened, Casey lied to authorities, saying that a nanny had kidnapped her daughter.
However, Caylee’s skeletal remains were found in a wooded area near the Anthony’s home. After a six-week trial, the conclusion had been that Caylee “accidentally drowned” in the family pool, and Casey had to dispose of her body.
