Camilla Parker Bowles Through The Years — Camilla Parker Bowles will officially be crowned Queen during the Coronation alongside her husband King Charles during the ceremony on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Camilla has been close to the Royal Family for years, and she has also been in the public eye, and the subject of some controversy in the past.

Camilla’s father was a British Army officer and her mother was a member of the English Aristocracy. In turn, her family was close with the Royal Family, and she even reportedly met Charles in 1971, and they dated briefly, but the relationship ended before Camilla rekindled her romance with Andrew Parker Bowles, who she married in 1973. Andrew and Camilla had two children during their marriage, and Charles eventually married Princess Diana in 1981.

During Charles and Diana’s marriage, the then-Prince of Wales began to have an affair with Camilla, while she was married to Andrew. The affair became public knowledge in the 90s. Charles and Diana divorced in 1996, two years before her death in 1997. Camilla and Andrew divorced in 1995.

Camilla and Andrew reunited and made their public debut as a couple in 1999, and they eventually got married in 2005. Following the death of Queen Elizabeth in September 2022, Charles became King and Camilla became Queen Consort, but her title was changed to Queen with the Coronation ceremony.
