Brendan Fraser is an actor who became a household name in the 90s and early 2000s thanks to his roles in ‘The Mummy’ franchise, ‘George of the Jungle’, ‘Bedazzled’, and more. He attended theatre, particularly in London, at an early age which led him to the Cornish Institute in Seattle. After graduation, he landed small roles in films like River Phoenix’s Dogfight, Encino Man and School Ties. After five years of supporting roles, he landed the title role in George of the Jungle in 1997.

He went on to make a name for himself as an action movie star however he opened up to GQ in 2018, explaining that filming movies of that genre took a major toll on his health. ‘I believe I probably was trying too hard, in a way that’s destructive,’ Brendan told the magazine. ‘By the time I did the third Mummy picture in China [in 2008] I was put together with tape and ice… I was building an exoskeleton for myself daily.’

After that, the star stepped away from the spotlight for some time. But he was ready to make a comeback by 2022, as the star of the Darren Aronofsky film ‘The Whale’, as well as the new Martin Scorsese flick ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon.’ Over the years, Brendan has gone the extra mile for his roles.
