Azealia Banks is known for her viral hit “212,” which was included in the soundtrack for the 2014 film The Bling Ring starring Emma Watson. Singing on to XL Recordings at just 17 years old (but going on to release music under different labels, including her own), she has released one studio album (2014’s Broke with Expensive Taste), two EPs and even more tracks through mixtapes and singles.
Azealia is notorious for her controversial comments and online spats, as she has called out the following celebrities online: Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, Lana Del Rey, Rihanna, Lil’ Kim, Zayn Malik, Lily Allen, Beyoncé, A$AP ROCKY, Kendrick Lamar…the list goes on. She even claimed that staying at Elon Musk’s house was experiencing ‘Get Out’ in real life. Off screen, she has ran into trouble on flights (which the singer has shared with her online audience) and was even arrested after allegedly biting a female club bouncer’s breast in 2015.
