Happy birthday, Artie Lange! In honor of the comedian’s birthday, see photos of him through the years.
Artie Lange is a familiar face in comedy, as he was most famously known as Howard Stern’s sidekick on ‘The Howard Stern Show’ and as a performer on the sketch series ‘Mad TV.’
Artie got his start as a stand-up comedian in the 1990s, held a spot in the cast of ‘Mad TV’ between 1995 and 1997, and then lent his voice to ‘The Howard Stern Show’ between 2001 and 2009. The comic also found success in a number of other projects, including his mega successful memoir ‘Too Fat to Fish’ that skyrocketed onto ‘The New York Times’ Best Seller list. He has also appeared in a number of films, and even wrote, produced and starred in his own movie called ‘Artie Lange’s Beer League’ in 2006.
Artie’s career has long been marked by a history of a drug abuse, however, as he has always been transparent about his cocaine and heroin use. In Dec. 2018, Artie tweeted that ‘3 decades of drug abuse’ gave him a ‘hideously deformed’ nose. The comedian sought treatment in a drug program in the spring of 2019.
