Annie Wersching passed away after a private battle with cancer on January 29, 2023. Look back at photos of her life.
Annie Wersching was born on March 28, 1977, in St. Louis, Missouri, and went on to study at both Crossroads College Preparatory School in St. Louis’s Central West End, graduating in 1995, as well as Millikin University. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in musical theatre at the latter, which she earned in 1999 before pursuing an acting career professionally.
She appeared in many iconic television shows, including several major roles of her own – particularly as Renee Walker on 24, becoming Jack Bauer’s on-screen love interest. She also appeared as Damon and Stephan Salvatore’s mother on The Vampire Diaries. Beyond that, she voiced the character of Tess in Naughty Dog’s video game The Last of Us which was later developed into a series.
Annie sadly passed away at the age of 45 on Sunday, January 29, 2023, after a private battle with cancer — leaving behind her husband Stephen Full as well as their three children, Eddie, 12, Ozzie, 9, and Archie, 4. Click through the gallery to see photos of Annie.
