There is a lot of history between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. The former lovebirds were married in 2015 and their romance lasted 15 months before they separated and eventually divorced.

They had a lot of publicity after the end of their marriage due to Amber’s op-ed about being a survivor of domestic violence led Johnny to sue her for defamation. Although a UK trial didn’t go in Johnny’s favor, a very highly publicized U.S. trial in 2022 did.
