In honor of George Clooney’s 62nd birthday on May 6, reminisce about some of the actor’s best red carpet appearances with his wife Amal.

Despite a decades old vow to never marry again, George and Amal got engaged in April of 2014 and wed in a Venice, Italy ceremony in September of that year. In addition to being brilliant, Amal has amazing style. Her red carpet moments have always been fashion-forward and buzzy. She favors high end designers such as Oscar De la Renta, Versace, Armani and John Galiano. Even though she’s a lawyer, she tends to outshine movie stars whenever she hits a red carpet. In recent years George has scaled back his movie career to focus on human rights causes, while Amal has worked as a visiting professor at Columbia University.
