Ricky Martin will be “Livin’ La Vida Loca” as the singer/actor is hosting the event, which will be televised on the Spanish language network Univision. The Latin Recording Academy decides the winners and just as in the Grammys, the top awards are album, song and record of the year, and best new artist. Spanish balladeer Alajandro Saenz leads the nominations tally with eight going into the broadast. Colombian singer Juanes will be honored as the 2019 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year and will be performing a medley of his legendary hits. Canadian singer Alessia Cara is also on the performance roster, as she’s expected to sing “Querer Mejor,” her duet with Juanes that is up for both record and song of the year.
