Left Handers Day: 35 Stars Who Are Left-Handed — Even though only 10 percent of the population is left-handed, according to CNN, there are still plenty of stars that are left-hand dominant. While there are tons of myths about being left-handed (like it makes you more creative or could cause you to earn less money), many of those beliefs have been dismissed, although there are certainly plenty of studies into how being left-handed could be more beneficial in things like sports or could lead to other health problems. Since there are so few people that are left-handed, every year people celebrate lefties on August 13 as Left-Hander’s Day!

Prince William (left) is one well-known lefty! His dominant hand might be genetic, as his dad Prince Charles is also left-handed. While dominant hands don’t usually interfere with day-to-day life as often as one might think, but William is an avid polo player, and the mallet is only allowed to be held in the right-hand, according to the Olean Times Herald. Therefore, when he used to play the game regularly there was an extra level of difficulty.
