There were two very different parties featured on the May 3 episode of The Real Housewives of New York City. The first one was thrown by Carole in celebration of the Presidential Election. The Hillary Clinton supporter invited a bunch of her friends to The Chester in NYC, where they waited for the election results to come in. Sadly, as we already know, Donald Trump ended up winning and Carole was left “dumbfounded.” The next day she even cried over Trump’s win.
Ramona, however, didn’t seem to be affected, as she visited one of the most expensive boutiques in NYC, where she tried on several dresses for her upcoming birthday. Ramona brought up her upcoming party to Carole, which is when she said “Oh I’m so glad you brought it up because I thought it was a surprise.” Well, it was until Carole spoiled it. Apparently, Ramona had her OWN party planned and didn’t know Dorinda was planning a separate SURPRISE party. Anyway, Carole played dumb and Ramona changed the subject.

Later, when it came time for the party, Ramona almost bailed because she had a hot date after. Fortunately, she decided to come to the “fake event” and when she found out that it was actually a surprise party, she fell to her knees and cried. She then called her date and asked him to stop by, which was totally awkward. They exchanged “hellos” and then she told him to wander off and “chill.” Bethenny was the only housewife who didn’t attend and that’s because Ramona called her a “witch” one week prior.
