TV star Frank Fritz has died, leaving behind many grieving his loss. According to multiple reports, he died at the age of 60 on Monday, September 30, 2024. His co-star Mike Wolfe announced his passing on Instagram the following day, noting, “It’s with a broken heart that I share with all of you that Frank passed away last night. I’ve known Frank for more then half my life and what you’ve seen on TV has always been what I have seen, a dreamer who was just as sensitive as he was funny.”

Who Was Frank Fritz?

Frank Fritz was born in Davenport, Iowa, and gained fame through American Pickers, a show he co-hosted with Mike Wolfe starting in 2010. The premise of the show involves Mike [Wolfe] and Frank are pickers that travel the country and literally would go anywhere just for the prospects of finding antique gold. With the assistance of Danielle they often find themselves in a comedic pickle,”according to IMDb. They were joined by Danielle Colby, who also formed part of the cast. Frank remained a regular on the show until 2021 when he took time off to focus on his health.

Per Fox News, his death was caused by complications from a stroke while he was in hospice care.

Frank’s death comes two years after he suffered a stroke in October 2022, which had a lasting impact on his life. During this period, rumors circulated about a possible feud between Frank and Mike, but Mike took to social media to dispel the gossip and announce Frank’s stroke. “I have been very private in the past year in regards to Frank’s life and the journey he’s been on,” He added, “There has been lots of opinions in regards to mine and Frank’s friendship and the show but now is not the time to set the record straight. Now is the time to pray for my friend.”

In a July 2021 interview with The Sun, the late TV star revealed that he had also struggled with Crohn’s Disease and alcohol addiction.
