Will Smith (born William Raymond Smith III on July 4, 1981 in Queens, New York) was an American football player. Will played with Ohio State before getting picked 18th overall in the first round of the 2004 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints. In 2006, the defensive end was picked as a starter in his first-ever Pro Bowl. In 2009, he helped lead the Saints to victory in their historic win at the Super Bowl. Will played nine seasons with the Saints, before being put on the injured reserves list in 2013. He left the team, and was picked up by the New England Patriots in May 2014; the team released him in August 2014.

Personal Life:
Will was married to Racquel Smith. He had three children, two with Racquel, and one from a previous relationship: Lisa Mya Smith, William J. Smith, and Wynter Chase Smith. Will was murdered in a road rage incident in New Orleans on April 9, 2016. He was just 34 years old.
