On the last night of PaleyFest in LA on March 28, Ryan Murphy announced on the ‘American Horror Story: Coven’ panel that Michael Chiklis has signed on to star in ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ and will act opposite ‘Coven’ favorite Kathy Bates as her ex-husband!

It’s official: a new casting decision has been made for Ryan Murphy‘s latest offering, American Horror Story: Freak Show, and the creator revealed on March 28 at PaleyFest in LA that Michael Chiklis is officially on board! He will be playing the father of Evan Peters‘ character, and the ex-husband of Kathy Bates‘. We wonder how that family dynamic will play out!
