As we had hoped, the season five premiere of GG kept us on the edge of our seats until the very end. The last time we watched our favorite Upper Eastsiders, Blair (Leighton Meester) was planning on going to Monaco and getting ready to marry Prince Louis after her rendezvous with Chuck (Ed Westwick). Meanwhile, Serena (Blake Lively) was jetting off to LA to spend time with her grandmother and her cousin, Charlie (Kaylee Defer), ended up not being her cousin, but really a girl named Ivy…and Nate (Chace Crawford) and Raina (Tika Sumpter) split. Needless to say, it’s safe to say a lot changed in the heat of the summer.
Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio have been nearly inseparable since May, when they’ve taken their newfound romance on an international tour de love. But can their relationship be sustained by constant vacations or are they just avoiding reality?
When Penn Badgley scored the role of famed musician Jeff Buckley in upcoming movie Greetings from Tim Buckley, he beat out a group of highly talented actors who also auditioned for the part. HollywoodLife.com previously reported that Penn received the role, although we were incorrect over which Jeff Buckley movie he was starring in, since there are two separate projects in the works. However, we spoke to our original source who asserts that Robert Pattinson did try out for the exact role Penn did! Additionally, we’ve stumbled across what looks like Tom Sturridge‘s audition tape for the same role!
Just as there are two Snow Whites, there are apparently two Jeff Buckley movies in the works. HollywoodLife.com was the first to tell you Penn Badgley would be playing famed musician Jeff Buckley, and we were 100% right about that. What we did get wrong, and we fully admit this, was which Jeff Buckley film he would be starring in. There was miscommunication from our source and we thought Penn was in the Jake Scott-directed flick, but now we know he’s in a movie directed by Dan Algrant called Greetings from Tim Buckley.
Gossip Girl returns in one week and from the looks of the brand new promo we are in for some very exciting episodes featuring a soon-to-be-affianced Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester). We spoke to executive producer’s Stephanie Savage and Josh Safran about her upcoming engagement and whether Chuck and Blair fans will be happy or crying at the end of the season finale.
