Lisa Jaster (born Lisa Peplinksi in 1978 from Houston, Texas) is an American Army ranger. Lisa graduated from Plymouth High School, before enrolling in the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York.. She graduated in 200 with a degree in Civil Engineering and was on active duty for seven years. As an Army Captain, Lisa participated in both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, before leaving active duty in 2007. Lisa took a role with the Shell Oil Company, working as an engineer on sites tainted with pollution. But Lisa missed the camaraderie of the armed forces and took a leave of absence from her job to pursue Ranger School. Lisa became the third woman to graduate from the Ranger School and the first female Army Reserve officer to complete the intense training course. Lisa was eligible to enroll into the Ranger School after an Administration directive that lifted a ban on women in combat.

Personal Life:
Lisa has two children — son, Zachary, and a daughter, Victoria. She is also married to a Marine. She is a cross-fit enthusiast and enjoys lifting weight. Lisa was one of the guests invited by Michelle Obama to attend the last State of the Union address given by President Barack Obama in 2016.
