Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) got a disturbing message about her baby on the Oct. 15 episode of The Originals, and while we wait for her to figure out exactly what that message was — she spent quite a bit of time trying to translate it online, but to no avail — let’s see how the baby daddy feels about his impending bundle of joy, shall we?
If you’re not a Mikaelson, or carrying a Mikaelson baby, or inconveniently linked to the werewolf carrying a Mikaelson baby, you’re pretty much inconsequential in Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) eyes. That’s the lesson we re-learned on the Oct. 15 episode of The Originals, as Klaus & Co. effortlessly sacrificed the lives of two star-crossed, supernatural lovers — all in the name of winning back Elijah (Daniel Gillies).
The Originals is shaping up to be TV’s craziest game of chess, and every piece is sexy. Rebekah (Claire Holt) became the newest player on the Oct. 8 episode, as she arrived in New Orleans with one goal in mind: Find Elijah (Daniel Gillies). And hey, isn’t that really all of our goals?
For the record, this is one of the most difficult recaps I’ve ever had to write — not because the episode was bad (it was perfect!) or because it was too complicated (it wasn’t!) but because I kind of feel like I already wrote it. The Originals‘ series premiere was very much a re-telling of the backdoor pilot we saw last season on The Vampire Diaries, with a few added goodies for long-time fans, and few more explanations for first-time viewers.
I hope you like awesome hair, because these new shots from the series premiere of The Originals are full of it! Along with present-day hair moments — Elijah’s (Daniel Gillies) mane remains flawless, as always — the Oct. 3 episode, titled “Always And Forever,” also takes us back to the early days of the Mikaelson family; and you know what that means: flashback wigs!
Pictures can be deceiving — especially when they’re snapped in Mystic Falls — so when I chatted with Candice Accola on May 2 at the annual Tick-Born Disease Alliance benefit in NYC, I brought along the above photo for her to explain what the heck is going on between Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Caroline on The Vampire Diaries season finale. As it turned out, she’d never seen it before! “Why do they always take pictures when he’s abnormally close to my face?” she asked. “I do not look happy right there.”
Graduation is always a bittersweet occasion, but it looks like The Vampire Diaries‘ version will be heavy on the bitter and light on the sweet. A collection of just-released stills from the May 16 season finale reveal Elena (Nina Dobrev) in dire straits, as she appears to face an army of witches, possibly attempting to turn her humanity back on. On the bright side, at least she gets to spend her final hours of insanity with a shirtless Damon (Ian Somerhalder).
