Jordin Sparks, Clay Aiken and Fantasia Barrino are just a few of the former American Idol contestants who have gone on to star in HUGE Broadway shows, so naturally we had to ask season seven finalist Matt Giraud if the Great White Way was in his future, too! “Maybe if I could do Wicked,” Matt told HollywoodLife.com exclusively May 26 at the American Idol season nine finale in Hollywood. He even sang us a line from the show, which you casting directors should SERIOUSLY have a listen to. Check out our video interview with Matt for a taste of what he’d sound like on Broadway (here’s a hint: he’d be awesome!)

OK, so we really aren’t all that surprised that Jordin Sparks and Lea Michele are die-hard American Idol fans. After all, Jordin, 20, actually won Fox’s singing show back in 2007 while Lea, 23, sings for a living as well, on another Fox show, Glee. Both gals took to their Twitter pages during Season 9’s second episode—which showcased the auditions in Atlanta—to share their thoughts with the Twitterverse.

We’re still slightly deaf from all the excited screams! Read more
