Britt Robertson Reveals Why She Didn't Research Witchcraft Before Filming 'The Secret Circle'!

‘The Secret Circle’ star Britt Robertson is the lead star of the new CW show and HollywoodLife.com spoke with the actress about which book from the trilogy was her favorite! Plus she explains why she didnt research witchcraft in preparation to play Cassie.

Britt Robertson chatted with a group of reporters following The Secret Circle TCA panel last Thursday and we spoke with the chatty and friendly actress. “Once I got the part I obviously read the books and got familiar with it,” explains Britt, when HollywoodLife.com asked her if she’d read all of the books. The CW show is based on a trilogy of the same name, penned by Vampire Diaries author L.J. Smith. But Britt says she specifically didn’t learn too much about witchcraft, before playing a witch on the new Fall series. Why is that?

'The Secret Circle' Previews Are Great But I Want More Of The Diana/Adam/Cassie Love Triangle!

I’m so excited for new CW show ‘The Secret Circle’ to premiere on Sept. 15 and I can’t wait to see more of the love triangle that was such a prominent part of the book! The actor who plays Adam calls himself the ‘male Bella Swan’!

I’ve read and re-read The Secret Circle books more times than I could count. When I realized they were turning the three books into a TV series, following in the footsteps of The Vampire Diaries, also by L.J. Smith and executive produced by Kevin Williamson, I was excited but nervous. I’m one of those fans who hate when things deviate from the novels, and learning that Diana (played by the lovely Shelley Hennig) would be a brunette in the series, really bothered me. I mean, she’s supposed to be all golden and pure and lightness! Anyway, other than that, all of the previews that have been released, including the new ones from Comic-Con have me completely pumped for what looks like an intriguing TV show. The only thing I request is more Diana/Adam/Cassie please!

'Life Unexpected' Star Ksenia Solo: January's Series Finale Will Be 'Satisfying.' Exclusive!

The CW’s ratings-challenged drama will air its final episode next month. Are you sad to see it go?

Life Unexpected star Ksenia Solo is understandably “upset” that the short-lived series is coming to an end after less than two full seasons. “It’s an amazing show and it has so much heart,” Ksenia told HollywoodLife.com exclusively Dec. 7. “I feel like unfortunately we don’t have any cheerleaders or vampires, and I don’t know if that contributed to why we’re not doing season three.” And although she couldn’t leak any major details about January’s series finale, Ksenia did promise it’ll be “satisfying to the viewers.”
