More than $57 million was raised, according to telethon organizers, and that number just continues to climb as even more donations are pouring in. Lisa Paulsen, president and CEO of the Entertainment Industry Foundation, the group overseeing the event’s funds, released this statement: “The public has set a new standard of giving for a relief telethon with ‘Hope for Haiti Now,’ and the donations continue to come in.” Read more

Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief announced that the global telethon will feature 21 musical performances that will air during the telethon.
