The teams are coming off tight turnarounds, after Dallas travelled to Baltimore to take on the Ravens Nov. 20, while the Skins hit the chilly confines of Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers. Dallas came away with yet another amazing victory, dominating Baltimore 27-17. But it was Washington’s commanding 42-24 victory over the Pack that helped seal the deal that they are a dominate force to be reckoned with and will not be stopped in their march towards the playoffs.

The last time these teams met up was in week two of 2016, when the Cowboys travelled to Fedex Field and beat Washington 27-23. Former Redskin Alfred Morris, 27, turned into his former team’s worst nightmare by running for the Cowboy’s go-ahead touchdown with four minutes left in the game. While they dropped their first two games, the Skins have gone on to be 6-1-1 in their next match ups, and are squarely in playoff contention.

It’s going to be a painful Thanksgiving for franchise quarterback Tony Romo, 36, who has recovered from a back injury and is ready to play, but has conceded that 24-year-old rookie Dak has more than earned the starting position. It’s going to be somewhat sad to see him sitting on the bench as the second string for the first time in his Cowboys career since 2006.
