It seems that after stumbling out of the gate, the Golden State Warriors have regained their dominating ways. The team is tied for first place in the Western Conference with the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City. Speaking of which, Kevin Durant, 28, demolished his old team, as he scored 39 points for the Dubs during their Nov. 3 match with the Thunder, according to SB Nation. He also matched his record for three-pointers, sinking three of them in a 122-96 home victory.

Russell Westbrook finished the game with 20 points and 10 assists, but that clearly wasn’t enough to lead his team past the defending Western Conference champions. The Thunder will have plenty of time to lick their wounds, as they won’t face the Warriors again until Jan. 18, 2017.

How To Watch The NBA Without Cable

The Lakers don’t have such luxury, as they need to get ready for a reunion of sorts. Luke Walton, 36, was the top assistant to Steve Kerr, 51, Golden State’s coach, for the previous two seasons, per Fox Sports. Now as the head coach of the LA Lakers, Luke is about to face his former squad for the first time.

After securing their first road win against the Atlanta Hawks, Luke thinks his squad is ready. “I think it’s just good for the guys,” he said ahead of the game. “They’ve been giving a hell of an effort all year.”
