Teen Mom 2’s Leah Messer Calls Out ‘Mean’ Co-Stars After Kailyn Lowry Reunion Drama

Leah Messer is ‘very disturbed’ by this new preview for the ‘Teen Mom 2’ reunion, which shows some of her co-stars ‘bullying’ and ‘disrespecting’ her and Kailyn Lowry.

A seven-minute clip from the Teen Mom 2 reunion was released on May 16, and it has left series star Leah Messer feelings very “disturbed”. In the video shared by MTV, Leah is asked about her fractured friendship with co-star Kailyn Lowry, who chose not to attend the reunion in person due to her ongoing feud with Briana DeJesus. Leah tries to explain why she and Kailyn don’t speak as much as they used to, but Briana and Jade Cline, who aren’t fans of Kailyn, barely let Leah say anything. Instead, they just scoff at what Leah says and ask host Dr. Drew why they’re even speaking about Kailyn if she chose not to be there.

Ashley Jones and Leah, who both value their friendships with Kailyn, then walk off set because they refuse to talk about Kailyn behind her back, while Jade and Briana are being “disrespectful” towards her.

Leah went on to explain this on Instagram, while also sharing her feelings on the matter, after the clip dropped on Monday afternoon. She deleted her first message, which you can see here, but then went onto write a much longer one, which you can see below.

“I’m very disturbed by the clip I saw of the reunion airing tomorrow,” Leah said in her lengthy message from her Instagram Stories. “Never did I imagine a show that was intended to inspire young women would turn into other women disrespecting, bullying/shaming & devaluing each other. My job at the TM2 reunion or when I’m shooting for MTV/Teen Mom 2/[Teen Mom Family Reunion] is to show up, complete my segments/scenes to collect my [money] & get back to my children. THAT IS exactly what I will continue to do. I’m not being ‘controlled’ by anyone or following anyone else’s lead. Questions that I am asked during my segments – I will always keep it 100 and answer them honestly. I will not tolerate disrespect on stage or ‘mean girl’ behavior, especially when someone being discussed is not present to defend themselves.”

“I have three DAUGHTERS at home where female empowerment is something we believe in, even when you may not see eye to eye with another woman. You never know when someone may be going through something they might not be speaking on. I will always empower and support women,” she continued, before explaining why she and Kailyn really aren’t speaking at the moment.

“My friendship with Kail has been rocky. To clear it up from my point of view.. I went to TMFR with the support of everyone around me. After the two weeks of filming and learning a lot about other casts through therapeutic activities and a life coach, I believed we all left on the same page. An unfortunate situation occurred a few weeks after being home when I ‘liked’ an Instagram post of Brianas-referencing self-growth. I was unaware at the time that a fat-shaming situation had occurred between Briana and Kail. It should be known that, I don’t and will never support fat shaming or bullying in any way, shape or form,” she wrote.

“This caused tension and hurt feelings that I hope can one day be resolved. I’m honestly sick and tired of being brought into this drama, having my kindness taken for weakness or being put in a position to where it seems as though I need to choose someone’s side. After 12 years of filming I understand what the show is supposed to be about and am happy to share my story. I feel like all of it is taking a twisted turn and it saddens me. Im going to continue to take care of mine and stay out the way. I’m going to speak on my personal life experiences and the journey which all of you have followed over the years. While I also wish everyone of my coworkers the best moving forward,” she concluded.
