Finally a family of three! Witney Carson is feeling “so grateful” after going through a 24-hour labor and subsequent c-section to meet her son. The Dancing With the Stars pro, 27, confirmed her son’s birth in a post on Instagram on January 4, which revealed that mom and baby are “all healthy and well.” This marks Witney and husband Carson McAllister‘s first child together.
“After a really hard 24-hour labor, and an unexpected c-section… we are all healthy and well. We are so grateful & we’ve been soaking up every moment with our perfect angel boy,” Witney wrote alongside a black and white photo that showed her husband and their son holding her hand in the hospital. “Thank you for all the prayers!” Witney did not reveal the baby’s name or face.
Just one day prior, on January 3, Witney took to Instagram to reveal that she was officially in labor. “Alright baby boy, let’s do this,” she captioned a photo of herself cradling her baby bump in a hospital bed.
Witney gave birth at the 39-week mark in her pregnancy. Just three days prior, she acknowledged the latter milestone on Instagram with a photo of her bare belly. “Passed by this mirror today and couldn’t believe how big this boy has gotten,” Witney wrote alongside the mirror selfie, admitting, “I’m officially DONE & so ready to meet him! Any suggestions on how to start this labor?!” — Who would’ve known at the time that she’d be in labor just days later!
At the end of July, Witney took to social media to announce her first pregnancy. “Baby McAllister coming Jan 2021!!!!! We can’t even contain our excitement and joy right now,” the Utah native shared on Instagram. The good news was accompanied by sweet photos of Witney and Carson, who was pictured carrying his wife while she held sonogram photos and a Clear Blue pregnancy test.
The couple, who were high school sweethearts, tied the knot on New Year’s Day in 2016. — Congratulations to Witney and Carson on their new addition!
