The holidays were such a difficult time for so many this year, including Khloe Kardashian. The Good American mogul, 36, made the decision to spend Christmas away from the rest of the Kardashians and celebrate the holidays with her ex, Tristan Thompson, 29, and their two-year-old daughter, True, as Tristan settles into his new role with the Boston Celtics. “Tristan has really stepped up for Khloe and True this last year and since he physically couldn’t be with the Kardashians on Christmas, it was a no brainer for her to bring True to him,” a source close to Khloe shared EXCLUSIVELY with HollywoodLife.
While Khloe absolutely made wonderful holiday memories with the couple’s adorable toddler, the source confessed that Khloe’s “family missed her, but they understood.” Despite the very “weird year” that the former couple endured, creating a space for their daughter to have both parents together at such an important time of the year meant a lot to Khloe, even if it meant forgoing her annual Kardashian family Christmas. “It was a tough decision for her to leave them,” the source went on, adding that Khloe wanted True “to be with her dad on the holiday.”
But over the last 12 months, Tristan has really proven himself as a father and co-parenting partner. “He really has done a 180 this last year. She will absolutely be back to visit with True again soon,” the source went on. Still, while the former couple appear to have their co-parenting relationship completely handled, that hasn’t stopped some from asking about their relationship status.
In fact, a number of fans speculated that Khloe and Tristan might be engaged after the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was spotted wearing a giant diamond ring while in Boston just before Christmas. But for Tristan and Khloe, the speculation doesn’t particularly matter. “They seem to be in the best place they’ve been for awhile now,” the source went on, adding that they believed the two, “from an outside perspective,” appear to be “very much” a “couple again.”
Regardless of where their relationship is heading next, there’s no denying that Tristan and Khloe have come a long way since their split in February 2019. Over the course of nearly two years, the former couple has rebuilt their partnership and Khloe has slowly regained some of her trust for Tristan, again. It’s clear that raising sweet little True is their main priority. Fans cannot wait to see how the family-of-three ring in a fresh start with 2021!
