Drama appeared to be brewing on social media between rappers Asian Doll, Megan Thee Stallion, and duo the City Girls — which Meg has already labeled as “dumb.” Asian Doll, 24, took to Instagram to tell her fans that she was set to be featured on Meg’s Good News track “Do It On The Tip,” which was included on the album as a collaboration with the City Girls’ Yung Miami and JT instead. “I was supposed to do that song, I don’t know what happened…but I’m going to play it for ya’ll,” Asian Doll — née Misharron Jermeisha Allen — said via Instagram live on Sunday, Dec. 20.

“I think I had this before anybody had this song — this my verse,” she went on, noting that it “wasn’t going to come out though.” Her voice could be heard rapping over the Lil Ju produced beat as she lip synched and rapped along in real-time. She then tweeted and deleted, “Friendship ended NEXT!” — seemingly throwing shade at Megan for replacing her with the City Girls on the song. Later, she clarified that this wasn’t the case and everything was all good between them. “Me & Megan still friends idgaf about no song I did in my sleep…I was [mad] but ima Sagittarius we get mad then 10mins later WE DON’T GIVE A F*** BOUT NUNNADET S***,” Asian Doll then wrote in two follow-up tweets.
City Girls’ JT then caught wind of the situation and posted a series of tweets — not naming Asian Doll directly — but seemingly in relation to Doll’s posts. “A real friend is something you b****** really don’t know nothing about!” JT began. “I been doing good but ima bout to start laying y’all attention h*** out & I’m coming with FACTS!!!!! Sympathetic a** holes are really starting to grind on my gears! [For real]!” she added. “Like if you know it’s gone draw attention & cause commotion … why speak on it? Mind you lying! But GO OFF!” JT also wrote in a third tweet, which she later deleted.
Asian Doll then replied to defend why she shared the unreleased version of the track. “This whole song getting out of hand! My intentions wasn’t bad when I played it I DON’T WANNA BE ON THE DELUXE I Don’t Wanna Put It Out I played it because ITS NEVER coming out!” she ranted. “I don’t need to be a pick me b**** cause at the end of the day I’m having my way with this s***,” she clarified, noting she was “called & asked to do the song.”
Megan also commented on the apparent drama. “I hate that all of this is getting blown out of proportion. It was never as deep as the comments make it seem,” the Houston native began, reminding her followers that she and Asian Doll are, in fact, friends. “When Asian got in her accident I hopped right on a plane to come see her when she go through s— I’m on her line…I don’t like putting my personal life on the internet because it’s personal to me. I never even saw people attacking her.”
“Asian, you know me better than that you know I don’t like all this internet s—t,” the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper went on. “You blow s—t out of proportion because you’re a f—– hot head. You played the song live…that was that. What do I need to clear up? This is dumb,” she concluded. It’s unclear why Megan and her team ended up putting the City Girls version on her album instead of Asian Doll’s, but all in all, it appears that Megan and Asian Doll are still friends despite the drama.
