Tristan Thompson, 29, made the move to the east coast earlier this month to start his career with the Boston Celtics and on December 15 his on-again girlfriend Khloe Kardashian, 36, joined him. Although the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star isn’t planning to make the move permanently, she will be spending plenty of time in the city, and sources tell HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY that Tristan feels “lucky” to have her with him on his new journey.
“Tristan is so happy to have Khloe and True with him in Boston while he gets settled,” a source close to the Canadian born baller shared. “He’s so excited to start this new chapter and get on the court with the Celtics. But having Khloe by his side while he adjusts to the next several months means even more.”
“He loves that she is so supportive and he feels so lucky that she’s on this journey with him,” the source continued. “Tristan understands her family is everything to her, so he’s hoping they can find a way to spend as much time together. But for now, he couldn’t be happier with where things are at.”
Tristan, who previously played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, signed with the Boston Celtics last month a second source revealed that he’s hoping the new city and team will mean a new start in every way. “Everything is new for Tristan. New contract, New team and new life with Khloe. He is looking at 2021 and beyond a time where he is maturing as a man, a father and a basketball player. Everything is going as well as possible now and he can’t wait to see where life with Khloe takes him while in Boston. He is going to look back at this time where everything changed in his life for the best.”
Although Tristan has struggled with fidelity during his relationship with Khloe, a source close to the NBA player insist he’s turned over a new leaf and is now fully committed to the Good American founder. “Tristan’s all about making Khloe happy and is continuing to do all he can to earn her trust, so she’s involved in every aspect of his life right now.”
“He wants her input on everything these days and wants to make sure she’s happy in Boston,” the source continued. “He wants her to feel at home there. Things between him and Khloe have been so great lately and he’s doing everything he can to make sure that continues now that he’s back to work.”
With Christmas less than two weeks away the holidays are on Tristan’s mind and our source says he’d love to have Khloe and their daughter True Thompson, 2, stay for the festive celebration. “Tristan would love for her to be with him on Christmas but he also knows how much her family traditions mean to her so they may end up doing Christmas early with True so she can have Christmas morning with her cousins in California. Whatever is going to make Khloe and True the happiest, that’s what Tristan wants.”
