Taylor Swift has the best friends in the world! The Evermore songstress turned 31 years old on Sunday, Dec. 13 and she was showered with loving messages on her special day. BFFs Gigi Hadid, 25, and Blake Lively, 33, both took to Instagram to pay tribute to Taylor with fun throwback photos. Gigi wrote, “Happiest 31st Birthday, my T! Wish we could be together to celebrate. Love U so much.”
The Maybelline model posted an adorable throwback photo of the pair cozy in their pajamas for what looked like a fun sleepover night. Taylor’s pink-dipped hair — perhaps from her Lover era — was front-and-center in a photo shared by Blake (who hilariously appeared in a small corner of the snap). “…There was happiness because of you…Happy happy birthday,” the Gossip Girl alum began. “Thank you for #Evermore. Absolutely nothing better than getting presents on other people’s birthdays…. love you,” she added.
Blake’s husband Ryan Reynolds, 44, was up to his usual LOL-worthy antics in his post — which was a photo of himself cuddling a cat (Taylor, of course, loves her felines). “Happy birthday @TaylorSwift,” the Vancouver native wrote on the Instagram story post. Ryan recently had the honor of helping Taylor debut her first re-recorded song, using a snippet of “Love Story” for his recent Match ad.
Country star Maren Morris, 30, shared a gorgeous photo of Taylor on-stage for her tribute! “Happy 31st @taylorswift,” the Girl singer wrote via her IG story. “I’m assuming you’ll be putting out 13 albums next year?” she joked (but maybe not, because Tay has already outdone herself with 2020’s Folklore and Evermore). Longtime friend Cara Delevingne, 28, shared a throwback photo from Taylor’s 2016 4th of July bash in Rhode Island. “Happy Birthday @taylorswift. You continue to inspire me and I’m so grateful for our friendship. Cheers to you queen!” the model posted, adding a heart emoji.
In honor of her own birthday, Taylor also surprised the Swifties yet again! The Pennsylvania native revealed Evermore‘s lead single “Willow” received an upbeat remix for her special day. “Not to be all ‘iTs mY BiRtHdAY & I jUsT wAnNa DaNcE’ but… it is and I do,” the newly-turned 31-year-old began. “So we’ve released the willow dancing witch version, remixed by Elvira, a bad a– female producer I really respect,” she captioned a beautifully shot photo by Beth Garrabrant.
As diehard Taylor fans know, “13” has long been the singer’s lucky number (she was born on Dec. 13) — which made her particularly enthused about turning 31. “Ever since I was 13, I’ve been excited about turning 31 because it’s my lucky number backwards, which is why I wanted to surprise you with this now,” she wrote when announcing Evermore. “You’ve all been so caring, supportive and thoughtful on my birthdays and so this time I thought I would give you something!” she also said.
