Floribama Shore star Nilsa Prowant is going to be a mom! The MTV reality star revealed that she’s pregnant with her first child in a sweet Instagram post. “Even in the darkest of times the Lord still shines his light,” the 26-year-old wrote in her caption, announcing the happy news. “Our greatest adventure is about to begin.” The mother-to-be also shared a happy snap with her boyfriend Gus Gazda, in which she showed off her growing baby bump — you can see the pic here. In the photo, Nilsa held up a sign that revealed her baby’s due date, although kept the baby’s sex a secret: “Baby Gazda coming May 2021.”
Friends and fans were quick to jump into the comments section of the post to congratulate the couple. “OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!” wrote Siesta Key’s Chloe Trautman. “CONGRATSSSSSSS.” The Challenge‘s Cory Wharton also wrote, “Congratulations!!!!” Nilsa affectionatlrey refers to her beau as Gus “2.0” after she was on-again, off-again with her co-star Gus Smyrnios for some time. It is believed the parents-to-be started dating in 2019, and made things Instagram official at the end of the year.
“I use [sic] to dream about the day I would be so deeply in love I could feel it in my bones, and now it’s here and I could not possibly imagine life any other way,” Nilsa wrote of her boyfriend in a February Instagram post. “Every heart ache was worth going through to get to you.” She has also previously hinted at wanting to grow her family, writing in July, “Just you and me, forever (unless I start popping out babies…).”
Nilsa and Gus Smyrnios had a highly publicized friends with benefits relationship during season two of Floribama Shore, but when her feelings for him were stronger than his for her, they realized it wasn’t meant to be. Gus came into season three of the popular reality show with a girlfriend, which set a boundary between him and Nilsa and helped them to grow as friends.
